The Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi, Vietnam - Arrival & Old Quarter Atmosphere

Best Time to Visit Vietnam
The best time to follow this route is during the shoulder seasons of spring (March to May) or autumn (September to November). Currency & Money
The local currency is the Vietnamese Dong (VND). While high-end hotels accept cards, Vietnam is still very much a cash-based society, especially for street food, markets, and local buses. Getting Around Vietnam
For intercity travel on a budget, the 'Reunification Express' train is the best option for scenery and comfort. For shorter distances, local public buses are extremely cheap.
