Ness Islands Walk

The best time to visit Inverness for families is from May to September. During these months, the days are exceptionally long, and the weather is generally mild. July and August are the warmest but also the busiest. If you want to avoid the largest crowds while still enjoying pleasant walking weather, June and September are ideal.
Currency & Money
Inverness uses the British Pound (GBP). Credit and debit cards are accepted almost everywhere, including small shops and buses. While tipping is not mandatory, it is common to leave about 10% in sit-down restaurants if the service was good.
