Best Time & Weather
The best time to visit Coloane is during the autumn and early winter months, from October to December. During this period, the humidity is low, and temperatures are a comfortable 20°C to 25°C, which is ideal for walking with children. Spring (March to April) can be pleasant but often foggy. Summer (June to August) is very hot, humid, and prone to typhoons, which may restrict outdoor activities and beach time.
Currency & Money
The official currency is the Macanese Pataca (MOP), which is pegged to the Hong Kong Dollar (HKD). HKD is widely accepted at a 1:1 ratio in almost all shops and restaurants, though you may receive change in MOP. Getting Around

Much of Coloane Village and the beach promenades are pedestrian-only, making them exceptionally safe for children.
